In the process of creating, the journey from conception to completion is often a winding road filled with twists and turns. As writers, we grapple with ideas, wrestle with words, and navigate the ever-shifting landscape of our minds. It is a process of figuring it out, planning, and finding our footing amidst the entanglement of our ideas; caught in this whirlwind of creation, tossing and turning ideas in our mind, trying to identify the starting point, while working backwards from the vision of our bigger picture. The questions linger, the doubts surface, but then, we realize this is a part of the process. The journey of questioning and pondering, ultimately leading us to clarity and purpose.
Amidst this journey, recent experiences have left an indelible mark on my creative spirit. My mind has been flooded with ideas and moments following the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) expo. Being surrounded by people I have long admired throughout my coffee journey, and embracing community has left a lasting impression. A rush of events, encounters, and coffee; leaving me beaming with ambition, excitement, and gratitude, fueled by the energy of many coffee professionals and enthusiasts unapologetically taking up space. Feeling affirmed, while internally sifting through the dialogue of my thoughts, , "How did I get here?".
In these moments, I underscore the potency of connection and the motivation gleaned from witnessing others achieve remarkable feats, being inspired by the trailblazing creativity of fellow artisans.
As I continue to embark on this writing journey, I am eager to share the stories that resonate within my heart; the ideas that dance in my head. Each story, a thread woven into the fabric of life, waiting to be unraveled and explored from different angles. A journey of discovery, of finding meaning in the mundane and beauty in the chaos. Yet, the inevitable growth and pruning necessary to continue to develop as a writer, becoming more and more aware of my voice; my audience.
To all creatives on a journey, I invite you to embrace the process – the highs and lows, the doubts and revelations. For in this journey we find the true essence of our stories, awaiting to be told. Let's continue to write, create, and explore together.
